It’s been nearly 50 years since Mike Skinner first climbed behind the wheel of a race car, but don’t think that all things slow down with age – Skinner is still pulling into Victory Lane on a regular basis! Earning his spot in the winner’s circle both in the U.S. and abroad, the name “The Gunslinger” has become synonymous with winning.
Skinner achieved a lot in his NASCAR career. After being crowned the first NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) champion in 1995, he went on to set the series’ record for pole awards (50 poles), and tied for third on the NGOTS all-time win list (28 wins). Despite retiring from NASCAR competition, Skinner has continued his winning ways as he continues to compete on the vintage and late model circuits with friend, teammate and ATF & Gunslinger team owner, Andrew Franzone.
