In 2018, Mike Skinner was invited to participate in a Vintage Race of Champions (“VROC”) Charity Pro Am Race at Virginia International Raceway. The experience put Skinner racing against his heroes and biggest rivals in vintage racecars to raise funds and awareness for charity. It proved to not only be a great time, but it also piqued the curiosity of the semi-retired racer about vintage racing. By the following year, Skinner was back on track during Speed Tour race weekends, not only with VROC, but also racing in the traditional SVRA divisions and even competing in the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli.
